CJ Fredrick, a former Covington Catholic High School hoops star, transferred to Kentucky earlier this month from Iowa. While at Iowa, Fredrick, a 6-3 guard, made nearly 50 percent of his three-pointers in his two seasons of competition with the Hawkeyes and averaged 8.8 points in 52 games. Under a new NCAA transfer rule, which allows all student-athletes a one-time transfer with immediate eligibility, Fredrick will be immediately eligible for the Wildcats for the 2021-22 season.
