LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky and Gonzaga men’s basketball programs jointly announced the discontinuation of their six-year series on Wednesday.
The decision was mutually agreed upon by both programs, to allow each program freedom to reevaluate future scheduling priorities, including conference obligations and nonconference opportunities.
The series originated in Spokane in 2022 and has seen the teams play in Lexington, Seattle and Nashville in each of the last four seasons.
The series was set to end with a home and home in Rupp Arena in 2026-27 and the McCarthey Athletic Center in 2027-28. The Wildcats and Bulldogs both appreciated the competition across the series the past four seasons.
Additional information on the 2026-27 Kentucky men’s basketball schedule will be available at a later date.
