UK Football Season Opener with Toledo Kicks Off at Noon on SEC Network

LEXINGTON, Ky. – With football season just a few short months away, ESPN has announced the first three weeks of its 2019 college football slate.

The Wildcats open the 2019 season with three straight home games and look to use the momentum created last year from their win over Penn State in the VRBO Citrus Bowl. The 10-3 record was Kentucky's best season in 41 years and only the third 10-win season in school history. UK finished No. 11 in the final USA Today coaches’ poll and No. 12 in the final Associated Press tabulation, the school's first appearance in the final rankings since 1984.

Kentucky’s 2019 schedule begins with first-time opponent Toledo on Saturday, Aug. 31 at Noon ET on the SEC Network. The following week, Eastern Michigan returns to Lexington (Sept. 7) for a 7:30 p.m. ET start on ESPNU or the SEC Network Alternate. The three-game home stand will conclude with the conference opener vs. the Florida Gators on Sept. 14 in Kroger Field. That highly-anticipated matchup is set to air at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN, the only conference game in the prime time window.
