Kentucky saw its nine-game winning streak end Thursday night when the Wildcats dropped to Texas A&M 61-55. UK struggled with its field goal shooting, hitting only 31.3 percent. The Cats, who made a season-low one three-point field goal, shot under 40 percent for just the second time this season.
UK's biggest lead of the game was 10 points in the third quarter.
Teonni Key of Kentucky had a career-high 20 points and a team-high nine rebounds, while Georgia Amoore added 15 points.
Kentucky (16-2 overall, 5-1 SEC) returns home for back-to-back games at Historic Memorial Coliseum. The Wildcats play Arkansas on Sunday, Jan. 26 at noon ET (SEC Network) and No. 19 Alabama on Thursday, Jan. 20 at 7 p.m. ET (SEC Network).
