Strack, Morgan Named All-SEC

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Southeastern Conference announced its 2026 women’s basketball postseason awards Tuesday.

Vanderbilt’s Mikayla Blakes was named Player of the Year with her teammate Aubrey Galvan named Freshman of the Year. Ole Miss’ Cotie McMahon was named Newcomer of the Year while South Carolina’s Raven Johnson was voted as Defensive Player of the Year. LSU’s MiLaysia Fulwiley was named Sixth-Woman of the Year with Scholar-Athlete of the Year going to Alabama’s Karly Weathers.  

Vanderbilt head coach Shea Ralph was named Coach of the Year. Vanderbilt concluded the regular season with a 27-3 overall record and a 13-3 mark in SEC play. The 27 wins are the most collected in a regular season by Vanderbilt, while it is the fifth-most wins in an overall season in school history. The 13 league wins set the school record for most SEC wins in a season. Vanderbilt collected seven wins over ranked teams in 2025-26, which is the most by a Commodore team in the regular season since 1995-96. Ralph, who is the first Vanderbilt head coach to win SEC Coach of the Year, led the Commodores to a top-five ranking for the first time since the 2001-02 season.

Kentucky had two representatives named to the All-SEC teams. Junior Clara Strack was chosen to All-SEC's first team, while senior Tonie Morgan was named to All-SEC's second team. Strack also was chosen to the league's All-Defensive team.

First-team and second-team All-SEC honorees, All-Freshman team, All-Defensive team, along with Player, Coach, Newcomer, Freshman, Defensive Player, 6th Player and Scholar-Athlete of the Year were chosen by the league’s 16 coaches. Coaches cannot vote for their own team or players and ties are not broken.
