Southeast Education Foundation Raises Record $18,425 for Student Scholarships at Golf Classic

The Southeast Education Foundation is pleased to announce that the 2024 Lillian Faye
Simpson Golf Classic, held on May 24, 2024, at the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in
Cumberland, Ky., raised a record-breaking $18,425. These funds will be used to provide
scholarships to deserving students at Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical
College (SKCTC).
The event saw enthusiastic participation from the community, filling two tee times at 8
a.m. and 1 p.m. Participants had the opportunity to compete in in-round contests,
including the Longest Drive and Closest to Pin challenges, while supporting a great
cause.
The success of the 2024 Lillian Faye Simpson Golf Classic underscores the
community's commitment to supporting education and helping students overcome
financial barriers to higher education. Proceeds from the tournament will directly benefit
student scholarships and Foundation operations at SKCTC.
