Kentucky freshman Reed Sheppard, who scored a career-high 32 points, including the game-winning basket with less than a second remaining, sparked the Wildcats to a 91-89 victory over Mississippi State Tuesday.

UK (20-8 overall, 10-5 SEC) got 21 points from senior Antonio Reeves, his 16th 20-point game of the season and his fourth in a row. Adou Thiero scored 11 points and D.J. Wagner had 10 for the Cats.

Mississippi State is now 19-9 overall (8-7 SEC).

UK returns to action on Saturday, hosting Arkansas at Rupp Arena. Tipoff is set for 1:30 p.m. ET and the game can be seen on CBS.
