No. 6 UK defeated fifth-ranked Oklahoma 63-57 before a near sellout crowd of 5,714 on Sunday afternoon at Historic Memorial Coliseum.
Leading the Wildcats was senior point guard Tonie Morgan who had 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
The contest marked Kentucky’s first win against an Associated Press Top 5 opponent in Historic Memorial Coliseum since knocking off vs. No. 3 Mississippi State in 2017. The Wildcats are now 3-1 against AP ranked opponents this season with wins over No. 21 Louisville (away), No. 5 LSU (away) and No. 5 Oklahoma (home).
Also, this is the first REGULAR season in program history the Cats have defeated two top-five opponents (LSU and Oklahoma).
UK's Clara Strack had her ninth double-double of the season and the 25th of her career, scoring 18 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Strack also blocked three shots in the matchup. Jordan Obi added 11 points for Kentucky.
The Wildcats return to action on Thursday night, hosting Florida. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET and the game can be seen on SEC Network+.
