The 2021 Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival, in its 90th year, has chosen a new queen. She is Abigail Canter of Western Kentucky University. A second-year Spirit Master as one of the university's official student ambassadors, Canter is majoring in Corporate and Organizational Communication and minoring in Psychological Sciences.
Canter, a senior from Shelbyville, Tenn., is also involved with her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi, and serves as the current chapter president. She serves as a volunteer and den counselor at the Center for Courageous Kids, the Midnight on the Hill Executive Board, and is very involved with Christian Student Fellowship.
The new KMLF princess is Emmaleigh Bargo of Barbourville High School.
Below are the photos of KMLF's Queen's Coronation which was held at Laurel Cove Amphitheater (Pine Mountain State Resort Park) on Saturday, May 30. Pictures include the newly-crowned queen and Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear.
