PHOTO GALLERY: Middlesboro Stops Harlan County 6-1 For 52nd District Title

The Middlesboro High School Yellow Jackets captured their sixth consecutive 52nd District Baseball Tournament crown Wednesday evening as they defeated Harlan County 6-1 at Harlan.

For the winning the district tourney championship, Coach John Smith's Yellow Jackets, now 17-10 for the season, will host a first-round matchup against an unnamed opponent on Monday evening in the 13th Region tournament. As a district tournament runner-up, Harlan County, 10-19, will also play in the regional tournament.

After the first-round games of the 13th Region, the remaining matchups will be held at South Laurel High School in London, Ky.
