PHOTO GALLERY: Lady Jackets Blank Bell County 2-0 for Second Straight 52nd District Title

The Lady Jackets from Middlesboro High School blanked Bell County 2-0 Thursday evening to capture their second consecutive 52nd District Softball Tournament held at Middlesboro. Kailey Owens, who blasted a solo homer in the championship game, was named the district tournament MVP.

Both schools will advance to the 13th Region tournament next week, taking place at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tenn., with Middlesboro serving as the regional host.
