The baseball Panthers from Knox Central High School beat Middlesboro 11-2 Thursday evening. Knox Central improved its mark to 12-9, while the Yellow Jackets dropped to 15-8. It was the second meeting of the season between both schools. In mid-March, Middlesboro edged Knox Central 4-3.
Both teams have games scheduled for Friday evening with Knox Central hosting Somerset while Middlesboro has Barbourville at home.
