After Middlesboro High School beat Barbourville 14-4 Tuesday evening in the first round of the13th Region baseball tournament at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tenn., the Yellow Jackets (18-10) will meet Whitley County (27-10) in the tournament semifinals Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. at South Laurel. Whitley County defeated Jackson County 4-2 on Monday.
In the other semifinal matchup at South Laurel, Clay County will face Corbin in the 6 p.m. contest Wednesday evening. The championship game is scheduled for Thursday evening at 6 p.m., also at South Laurel.
