Oweh Hits Career-High 28 Points as UK Edges Oklahoma in 83-82 Thriller

Kentucky junior Otega Oweh was red-hot after the intermission as he pumped in a career-high 28 points, including 23 in the second half, leading the No. 17 Wildcats to a thrilling 83-82 win over unranked Oklahoma.
Oweh, who played his first two years at Oklahoma, scored 21 of his team's last 23 points, and also grabbed six rebounds. It was his ninth game with 20 or more points this season.
UK's Brandon Garrison, who played his freshman year at Oklahoma State, added 12 points and hit a career-best two 3-pointers.
Kentucky made 50 percent from the field (29-58). The Cats are 13-1 when hitting 50 percent or better. The Sooners hit 53 percent from the floor (30-57).
The Wildcats improved to 19-9 overall and 8-7 in SEC, while Oklahoma dropped to 17-11 overall, 4-11 in the league.
It was UK's first ever game in Norman as well as in the state of Oklahoma.
Kentucky's next game is Saturday when it faces top-ranked Auburn at Rupp Arena. The 1 p.m. ET game will be shown on ABC.
