No. 24 Kentucky Stuns South Carolina 35-34 with Successful 2-Point Conversion in OT
Kentucky coach Will Stein and his No. 24 Wildcats continued their great start to the 2026 season, surprising South Carolina on Saturday at Columbia with a successful two-point conversion in overtime to win 35-34.
UK is now 4-1 overall with two SEC road wins at Texas A&M and South Carolina. The Gamecocks dropped to 2-3, including three conference losses.

UK, which fell behind 17-0 in the second quarter, won the exciting matchup when QB Kenny Minchey found tight end Willie Rodriguez in the end zone for the two-point conversion.
It was Kentucky's biggest comeback road victory in school history.
Minchey had 28 of 41 passing for 272 yards and three touchdowns. Kenny Darby caught 12 receptions for 96 yards.
CJ Baxter led UK rushers for 48 yards in 13 carries.
UK's next game is Saturday as the Wildcats host LSU at Kroger Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET and the game will be televised by ESPN.
South Carolina plays at Florida Saturday.
