Kentucky sophomore center Clara Strack was the main attraction Thursday night at Historic Memorial Coliseum as the Buffalo, N.Y., native gunned in a team-high 23 points and grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds to spark No. 15 Kentucky to a dominating 82-58 win over No. 11 Tennessee. The 6-foot-5 Strack also had three blocked shots and two assists.
The impressive win marked Kentucky's largest margin of victory over Tennessee in the all-time series. UK still trails UT 61-17 in the all-time series.
Kentucky is now 22-5 overall and 11-4 in SEC, while Tennessee dropped to 21-7 overall and 8-7 in the league.
UK's Georgia Amoore added 18 points along with seven assists. Teonni Key also scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Kentucky.
In the early fourth quarter, Kentucky had a 35-point lead over Tennessee.
The Wildcats held the Lady Volunteers to 31.1 percent from the field (23-of-74). It was UK’s best field-goal percentage defense against an opponent ranked in the AP Top 15 since 2013, against No. 12 Georgia (22.2 percent). On the boards, Kentucky outrebounded UT 52-31.
Talaysia Cooper of Tennessee took the game's scoring honors with 25 points.
Before next week's SEC Tournament, Kentucky will face No. 6 South Carolina on Sunday. The 2 p.m. ET game will be shown on ESPN.
