NCAA Final Four Loaded with Four No. 1 Seeds

By Ed Peak

This is a strong NCAA Final Four with four No. 1 seeds. First time since 2008.

Florida, Auburn, Duke and Houston are all well deserving of their spots in San Antonio, Texas and the Alamodome.

The national semifinals will be shown on CBS, beginning at 6:09 pm ET on Saturday. The championship game will be on Monday, also on CBS, starting at 8:50 pm ET.

I recently saw Auburn in Lexington in the first and second rounds of the South Region. I didn't come away overly impressed even though they won both games. The next two wins, especially the victory over Michigan State, proved why they are the No. 1 overall seed.

I really like how Duke is playing. They look like the best team now. Blue Devils coach Jon Scheyer has done an outstanding job with this team. Duke has lost once in the last three months.

Houston never let Tennessee breathe in an easy victory. I might have to go with the Cougars.

Then there is Florida. Coach Todd Golden's Gators trailed Texas Tech by 10 late. Not to worry Walter Clayton Jr. shot the Gators to the final weekend.

I have Florida in my bracket to win it all. But if I could do a rebracket here is how it would go. Auburn beats Florida and Duke beats Houston. In the championship game, Duke beats Auburn.

I think this will be a well-played physical three games. It should be exciting. All the people who said the ACC was down was right. Just not the Blue Devils.
