LEXINGTON -- Kentucky beat the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles 42-10 on Senior Day.
UK redshirt freshman quarterback Cutter Boley finished with another impressive outing Saturday, going 18 of 21 passing for 236 yards and one touchdown. Boley showed off his athleticism near the end of the first quarter, rushing for 30 yards and running over a Golden Eagle defender for a touchdown.

Kentucky running back Seth McGowan finished the day with 17 rushes for 72 yards and three touchdowns. After the game, McGowan had high praise for Boley.
“I definitely think the sky is the limit for that man right there just because of how how young he is and like I said, when you have little to no hesitation at that age and with that little of experience, that’s a great quality to have," he said. "He’s been executing at a high level, especially the past couple of games. I’m super excited for him, he deserves everything that’s coming towards right now.”
Wide Receiver Kendrick Law, a transfer from Alabama, had an outstanding game, finishing with 11 receptions for 124 yards. Boley targeted Law 11 times with no incompletions. Law added that he had never had a game like that
“No, I have not had a day like that," Law said. "So today was super exciting for me, very motivational for me to keep going, and just constantly keep showing the world what I’m capable of and I got more in my bag, too.”
Kentucky now sits at 5-5 record overall with two road games remaining in the regular season. With six wins required to become bowl eligible, the Wildcats will need to win one of the next two games, being Vanderbilt and Louisville. Reaching a bowl game would speak a lot about this team’s resilience. As rocky as the season started, UK coach Mark Stoops has seemingly managed to right the ship somewhat.
Stoops commented about keeping the momentum going and finishing out the year strong, saying, “We are really focused on that. I challenged the guys in there because they have brought it up. Like, okay, guys, keep this in perspective and let’s be ready to go Monday and that’s the mentality that we have to continue with.”
Kentucky will face Vanderbilt at FirstBank Stadium in Nashville on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET. The game will be shown on either ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2.
