Cats Win 6th Straight Game, Defeating Missouri 90-77

No. 6 Kentucky continued its winning ways as the Cats stopped Missouri 90-77 Tuesday night at Rupp Arena.


Leading UK, which has won six consecutive games, was senior Tre Mitchell who recorded a double-double with 20 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. Freshman guard Rob Dillingham was efficient as well, scoring a game-high (and a season-high) 23 points, including 3 of 3 three-pointers and 8 of 10 free throws, in only 19 minutes of action.

The victory improved UK's overall mark to 12-2 (2-0 SEC), while Missouri dropped to 8-7 (0-2 SEC).


Kentucky will travel to the Lone Star State for a Saturday afternoon date with the Texas A&M Aggies at College Station. The 2:00 p.m. ET game will be shown on ESPN with broadcasters Dan Schulman and Jay Bilas calling the action.


Against the Tigers, Kentucky also had three players scoring in double figures. Freshman D.J. Wagner gunned in 16 points with senior Antonio Reeves and freshman Aaron Bradshaw hitting 14 and 10 points, respectively.


The Cats, who shot 50 percent of their field goals, did very well from the line, hitting 27 of 32 free throws for 84.4 percent. Kentucky also had 16 points off turnovers, compared to Missouri's four points.


Kentucky won the glass, outrebounding Missouri 42-27.
