BOX SCORE: UK Ends Season at 22-12 as Kansas State Wins 75-69 in NCAA


Sunday was not a good day for the Big Blue Nation as Kentucky suffered its disappointing 75-69 setback to Kansas State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Greensboro, N.C. UK completed its up-and-down season with a 22-12 mark.


The exciting matchup featured 12 ties and 12 lead changes with Kansas State not taking the lead for good until less than three minutes to go. UK won the rebounding war 44-25, leading to a 17-7 advantage in second-chance points.


Kentucky players talked with the news media in a subdued locker room after their heartbreaking loss.

All-American Oscar Tshiebwe had 25 points and 18 rebounds, his 20th double-double of the season. His total of 48 double-doubles in 66 UK games is second-most in school history.
