Louisville women earned its third NCAA Final Four trip (all since 2009) in school history Sunday, March 25 when the Cardinals whipped Oregon State 76-43 in an Elite Eight matchup held at Rupp Arena.
U of L, which improved its mark to 36-2, was led by four Cardinals who scored in double figures. Junior Asia Durr, who was named the Lexington Regional's Most Outstanding Player, led Louisville with a game-high 18 points, including 4-of-9 three-pointers.
The No. 1 seed Cardinals, who have won 11 straight games, forced 17 turnovers by Oregon State while committing only three miscues. Louisville dominated points off turnovers, 24-0.
No. 6 seed Oregon State finished its season with a 26-8 mark.
Coach Jeff Walz's Louisville squad will play Friday night, March 30 in Columbus, Ohio, against No. 1 seed Mississippi State, which beat No. 3 seed UCLA in Kansas City Regional's Elite Eight Sunday, in the national semifinals.
