RICHMOND, Ky. – DeAndre ‘Pedro’ Bradshaw, a 2017 Kentucky Mr. Basketball finalist, has signed to play at Eastern Kentucky University, it was announced on Thursday, Jan. 18.

Bradshaw was one of the top players in the state last season at Russellville High School in western Kentucky. The 6-7 wing was named first team all-state by the Lexington Herald-Leader and the Louisville Courier-Journal after averaging 22.1 points-per-game and 13.1 rebounds-per-game and leading Russellville to the Fourth Region final as a senior. He was a finalist for the coveted Kentucky Mr. Basketball award.
Bradshaw finished his career as Russellville High’s all-time leading scorer (1,938 points) rebounder (1,169 rebounds).
He signed with Belmont out of high school, but transferred after the fall semester. Bradshaw will be eligible to play at EKU following the completion of the 2018 fall semester.
“We are ecstatic to welcome Pedro to the Colonel family.” EKU coach Dan McHale said. “His length, athleticism and playmaking ability will give us a dimension that will strengthen our basketball team. He has all of the qualities that we look for in putting together a high-level team on the court, in the classroom and in the community. Pedro will have an immediate impact when he steps on the floor from day one.”
Bradshaw joins 6-10 center Tyrel Bladen (Coatesville, Pennsylvania) in EKU’s 2018 signing class.
