LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky junior pitcher Zach Logue (pictured) has been named Academic All-District First Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America. Logue is a chemical engineering major and maintains a 3.96 grade point average.
The Mason, Ohio native was voted to the District 2 team by sports information directors from around the country and will now have an opportunity to be voted to the Academic All-America team.
The left-hander has been Kentucky’s Saturday starter all season, posting a 6-4 record with a 4.41 earned run average in 12 starts. He has pitched 69.1 innings, giving up 72 hits, 34 earned runs, 18 walks and striking out 67 hitters.
