Freshman Maci Morris and her new Kentucky Wildcats teammates recently had a photo shoot at Joe Craft Center and participated in the Big Blue Madness which was held Friday night, Oct. 16 at Rupp Arena. And we at KySportsStyle.com magazine thought you'd enjoy some of the outstanding photos of Morris.
Morris, who was selected as Kentucky's "Miss Basketball" last spring, is a 6-foot-0 shooting guard from Pineville, Ky. She will wear No. 4 on her Wildcat jersey. Before coming to UK, she played varsity basketball at Bell County High School in southeast Kentucky since the seventh grade and was a starter since the eighth grade.
One of the nation's top high school players, Morris led Bell County to its first Sweet Sixteen last season, averaging 25.9 points and 7.9 rebounds. She finished with 3,368 career points, good for sixth place on the state's all-time list for girls.
Kentucky opens its 2015-16 campaign on Friday, Nov. 13 when it faces Rice at Memorial Coliseum.
Special thanks to contributing photographer Dr. Michael Huang and photographer Britney Howard of UK Athletics for pictures of Maci Morris. The 2014 photo while she was at Bell County High School was taken by Jamie H. Vaught at her high school gym.
