PHOTO GALLERY: Middlesboro High Drops to Whitley County 8-2; Four Seniors Recognized

Middlesboro High School faced a formidable Whitley County team Monday night as the Yellow Jackets dropped an 8-2 decision to the Colonels, who are considered one of the top baseball teams in the 13th Region.


MHS is now 13-10 as it will wind up its regular season schedule later this week. The 52nd District tournament will be held at Bell County High next week. The Yellow Jackets have a 6-0 regular season record in district action as they defeated Bell County, Harlan County and Harlan (all of them twice).


In a pre-game Senior Night ceremony, four MHS seniors were recognized. They are Chris Callihan (No. 22) , Hagen Owens (24), Lane Perry (29) and Jeremiah Wilder (2).
