Florida snapped UK's four-game winning streak Saturday afternoon, March 3 as the Gators dominate the Wildcats 80-67 at Gainesville. UF improves its record to 20-11 overall (11-7 SEC), while UK drops to 21-10 (10-8 SEC).
UF junior Jalen Hudson, a 6-6 guard, took the game's scoring honors with 22 points. Kentucky was led by four double-digit scorers with freshman Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leading his squad with 17 points. Even though the Wildcats won the rebounding battle 36-34, they couldn't hit their free throws, making only 13 out of 22 for 59.1 percent. Also, Kentucky shot 41.4 percent of its field goals as compared to Florida's 49.1
Kentucky had a season-low six assists, while the Gators had 15.
