Kentucky Sports Radio Founder Matt Jones and his KSR sidekicks Ryan Lemond and Drew Franklin came to Jones' hometown of Middlesboro in southeastern Kentucky for a special celebration in conjunction with Levitt AMP Middlesboro Music Series Thursday and Friday, Sept. 14-15.
To help celebrate the Matt Jones Day on Friday in Middlesboro, KSR conducted a two-hour live radio show on the Levitt Concert Stage in downtown before a very nice crowd. During the show, the City of Middlesboro and friends presented Jones with gifts, including a giant street sign.
Said Jones on Facebook, "(It was) very cool being back in Middlesboro today for Matt Jones Day. Great to see a lot of old friends and the town did some awesome things as well. Special day I will always remember."
A graduate of Middlesboro High School, Jones attended Transylvania University in Lexington and received his law degree at Duke University.
KSR, one of the nation's most popular sports blogs and radio shows, can be found online at KentuckySportsRadio.com. KSR primarily covers UK sports.
