'Big Blue Only Way Flyaway' Offers Dec. 29 VIP Men's Basketball & Football Bowl Expe

LEXINGTON, Ky. – One lucky Kentucky fan will win a VIP experience to enjoy a men’s basketball/football doubleheader with a roundtrip private flight on Friday, Dec. 29 through the “Big Blue Only Way Flyaway.”

The VIP experience will include tickets to two showcase events for the Wildcats on Dec. 29 -- men’s basketball vs. Louisville at 1 p.m. ET and football’s Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl game vs. Northwestern at 4:30 p.m. ET. The lucky winner will fly round-trip on a private jet from Lexington to Nashville to make it a dream day for a Kentucky fan.

The UK Sports Network will be offering the chance to enter to win by downloading the new official UK Athletics app; clicking on the “Big Blue Only Way Flyaway” tab, located in the left-hand navigation menu; and filling out an entry form by Dec. 23. The app can be downloaded for free on Apple devices through the App Store and on Android devices through Google Play by searching for “UK Athletics.”

Two winners will be chosen and given two tickets each, plus pre-game VIP hospitality, to the UK vs. Louisville men’s basketball game. The winners will then participate in a halftime contest for the ultimate prize. The winner of the halftime contest, along with one guest, will immediately leave Rupp Arena, be transported to Blue Grass Airport (LEX), and board a private jet to Nashville for the Music City Bowl. At the completion of the football game, the fans will be transported to Nashville Airport (BNA) and will board the private jet for the return trip to Lexington. Flights will be provided by Nexgen Aviation.

Brent Carney from the UK Sports Network and host of “This Is Kentucky Basketball” will be along for the ride to post social media updates of the contest winner’s VIP experience on Dec. 29.

The UK Athletics app features live and on-demand video content, including press conferences, highlight and hype videos, all-access features, and other special programming in addition to comprehensive news, schedules, scores and stats. UK Sports Network content includes live-streaming audio of game broadcasts and special programs, along with live video streams of the Paul Miller Ford John Calipari Show, and Coca-Cola 10 to Tipoff and Wildcat Wrap-Up for home basketball games.
